IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
Today (13th March 2020) Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the official Government advice against the attending or holding of events/gatherings of 500+ people to limit the spread of the Coronavirus in Australia.
During these unprecedented and fast-evolving times, the health and well-being of everyone in our community must be the highest priority. Therefore, following the Government announcement, the Brisbane, Timber, Tools & Artisan Shows’ venue operator – Brisbane Showgrounds, has announced the postponement of the Brisbane Timber, Tools & Artisan Show (amongst a number of events planned at their venue).
While we are deeply saddened by the postponement of our Brisbane Show, this has been out of our control and we understand the important part that we (the show operators and our venue operators) play in helping protect the community from Coronavirus.
The Australian Government is expected to release further details on Monday which will help provide more information about the impact of this on the remainder of our shows; the revised dates that Brisbane Showgrounds can reschedule the Brisbane show; and address any questions from our visitors and exhibitors alike.
We thank each and every one of you for supporting our small business who works hard to support other small businesses around Australia via our shows. The impact of this virus on communities and businesses is widespread, so we hope we can bring everyone together again soon at our shows and support each other through this tough time.
Thank you for your understanding – Candice and Brendon
THE SHOW TO LEARN, LOVE, CREATE
For over 30 years our shows were known as the Timber & Working with Wood Show. In 2018, we (Phoenix Exhibitions) took over the shows with a new vision that would take the shows into the future and bring creatively, inspiration and making to our communities. We are committed to ensuring our shows stay connected to its’ strong woodworking heritage with a prominent timber and wood craft presence but with the addition of complimentary creative artisans and crafts. The format is designed to inspire visitors to find a new art, learn more about it and gain the skills and tools they need to start their own journey to creativity.
